These small 'fishing boats' are just 'toys' probably belonging to the children of the fishermen in Arnemuiden, Zeeland, The Netherlands.
Think that the saying "What's learned in the cradle, lasts till the tomb" is valid for this situation as well.

Well, at least they would have a good learning theme...growing up to be competent fishermen which they learned from their parents will help their futures.

Colorful boats - even though they are small they look just like the big ones in your photo. This shows how misleading the size of a subject can be in a photo. Good shot Cornelius.

Smooth seas do not make skilful sailors.
These seem little compared to the big ones but they would be a great thing for a young fisherman to learn from. That mercury outboard motor on the one is no slouch so that boat would be quite powerful. Another interesting take from you Mr. C.
