I called at the door, but nobody opened it. Apparently no one is at home. A disappointment for me, because I had hoped for a treat.
A somewhat manic situation, because I have to wait patiently now, while I have many other things to do.

I don't see herons up close to buildings, what a fine catch with the lens this one was, and it does seem a bit Manic to me as well. tigs=^..^=

As probably most here know, here in Florida we have a lot of these birds. There are easy to photograph. I wouldn't want to get one angry, they could probably hold their own in a fight.

I'm looking at the position and angle of his eye and imagining he's studying the shadows under the door, waiting for the housewife to be one of those approaching shadows, complete with a large, fresh fish in her hands. I've seen plenty of herons like this, here in the upper reaches of the Missouri River, but never in a community like this. I do so enjoy seeing wildlife so at ease with humanity that they happily coexist with us. It speaks well for us both. Another fun shot, C, well focussed and with good use of bokeh, the garbage cans back there notwithstanding.
