Considering that bird bones are generally hollow, which helps make their flight possible because they weigh less than their volume ratio would suggest, the relative strength in their legs and claws let them cling tenaciously to branches and perform acrobatics like we are seeing here. I always get a kick when I see a bird do this... it helps describe their individual personality and sort of anthropomorphizes them. I like it (say that three times, fast).
