Please notice the quotation marks in the title: for traditional windmills, the saying 'standing still is deterioration' is valid, so that the miller runs the blades even though there is no wheat to grind in the spring.

Not an actual picture however, but one from the bin (taken on May 12th, 2018), but I suppose that it's too fine to keep it there.

Lovely colours and details in this shot Cornelius. This is like starting the car now and then in winter even if you are not going anywhere.

"Stilstaan is achteruitgang" - very true.
This is a most appealing picture Cornelius with a lovely lead-up to the mill.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Bins are for the corn that has already 'been' ground ...this deserved to be seen by all....

I think that saying can apply to people as well as windmills Mr. C. - this charming scene is welcome and should never have been in the bin.

I'm glad you brought it out of the bin, way too beautiful to be hidden.

Great title and I agree it's too fine to keep in the flour bin.
Love the natural framing.
I will be glad when the weather resembles this scene.

It is indeed 'too fine to keep it there'...beautifully composed and love all the greenery...the little red car a nice spot of bold color and of course the windmill always a delight to see.
