This night-shot was taken on December 7th, 2019 in Amsterdam, the capital of my small country (The Netherlands) on the occasion of the light festival, edition # 8 there (version 2019/2020 with the central theme 'Disrupt!').

From time to time I'll provide you with some shots of Amsterdam in general and this festival in particular.

There are 20 artworks shown on this festival. This one, called 'Atlantis' was created by the Swedish artist Utskottet.

Information/description provided by the festival committee: with the image of a sinking metropolis, Ulskottet shows that this ominous scene can become a frightening reality. The rise in sea levels and increase in extreme weather conditions around the world are demonstrable consequences of the way we recklessly interact with our planet - if we're not careful, Amsterdam might one day be underwater.

This is fantastic SEA. At first I thought it was a photo of reflections on the water. After reading you narrative I see what it truly is. It definitely fits with the theme and the "global warming-warning." information. GWW.
Faved of course.
