My son and I were recently in Den Helder, a town in the most north/west part of my country. The car was parked in a parking lot and we've rent a bike on wich we did a 15 miles long photo shoot.

People from various countries live in Den Helder. This also applies to refugees from Sri Lanka. These people have established the Hindu temple 'Sri Varadaraja Selvavinayakar' there. The temple features a 17 meter high tower called the 'Gaja Gopuram'.

This temple was the first place we visited during this photo shoot. The first photos of this new series will show an impression of this temple.

So much detail, and you did it justice, with your camera, and editing. I'm looking forward to this series Mr. C. I'm happy for you that you got out and about, and 15 mile bike shoot sounds like fun, and very impressive. tigs=^..^=

One thing about those people is they are in for the intricate detail. It is an amazing architecture. You provided us with a great capture, Cornelius.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Wonderful photo showing the colourful details so clearly. A lot of work has gone into the construction of this temple.
