The clarity isn't great but it's hard to capture lightning during the day. The heavy downpour didn't help much either but after approximately 130 shots at exposures between 4-8 seconds, this was one (and the best) of four lightning captures. (taken with an Olympus E500 using the Zuiko 40-150mm kit lens at 40mm focal length, f22, ISO-100 with a 4 second exposure)

I read somewhere that its almost impossible to get a good shot during the day so good for you for your perserverence, nice capture.

I had this in the voting booth and gave it high marks. Considering the downpour and your willingness to shoot 130 shots to give us one of them........the clarity isn't that bad given all the conditions and especially with it being daytime. Thanks for sharing this with me. It is in my favorites folder ;=)

I think getting any sort of lighting shot is deserves high marks. I also like the day light. Very moody really. Nice shot!

In my urge to always muck around with things .. I would remove the two cranes ..
