Building 50 and surrounding structures were made w/yellow-white Markham brick made in a small town nearby Traverse City. They were brought in by rail-cars. In 2001 Building 50 was purchased by a preservation group and is now being renovated. It has been named "The Village". One of the most recent project begun will be condominuims. They are now accepting buyers! A number of surrounding structures have been demolished but Building 50 still stands strong. Thanks for watching my series.

Great snap of this very pretty place!! I wasn't sure about the rock in front, but after re-checking, I think it totally works...kinda leaves you wanting more. :~)

Like Hottrockin I wasn't sure about the rubble at first, but it tells a very interesting story. Is that great looking building next for the scrap-heap, or are you just teasing us? Very nice.

Again Geri, I cannot say enough about this series, you did a fine job of capturing and documenting the current state of the subject matter; next week it will have changed slightly, but you have preserved it well for the future no matter what they do with it...
