Peonies at Jixing Temple
Springtime radiance, gradually, gradually where does it go?
Again before a wine jar, we take up a goblet.
All day we've questioned the flowers, but the flowers do not speak.
For whom do they shed their petals and leaves, for whom do they bloom?

I love peonies and ours were gone in flash this spring with our crazy weather - theses are lovely to look at and I will imagine the glorious scent.

I speak fluent Chinese; so you could have posted your narrative in its original state. The translation is somewhat loose but acceptable.
When I was a kid, my favorite flower was the peony...maybe because I liked the name. Much like Beevis and Butthead, I could hear myself saying "Peony...heh heh heh heh heh heh...peony."
It's a beauty of shot. Peonies are humongous. Don't worry about the bud. They're always better than stems and seeds. :-)

I love their subtle colors. The peonies in the garden of my wife are meanwhile gone, mainly because of the many intensive showers that we had the last couple of days.

When ever I see pink Peonies, they remind me of a time a few years ago when I visited a stately home and there was a garden full of these. It was a warm still day and the air was heady with the scent of their perfume. Wonderful capture and I like the way they are presented in the glass vase too. Well done!

What lovely peonies... I love the amount of detail that can be seen in them. I also like the poem.. very peaceful. :-) I'd like to see those pink flowers against a blue background... but that's because I've always had an affection for the pink/blue combination! ;-)
