Found this on a very cold and blustery day in March at Cape Cod. Would have enjoyed the beach more despite the weather, but my 'high heels' kept sinking into the sand, Roger. ;0)
I just knew you'd wear stilletos to the beach..They come in handy when you want to puncture the kids beachballs...I do like the way you caught the detail in the water..R.
To me it's not a simple image. It has stimulated my brains a lot, and simple images are not capable of doing this. I'm still searching for resolving the story behind it. What has happened with the child that probably was playing with the bucket, or was it a fisherman who has forgotten the by him caught fish? I don't know. Think that my imagination will give a solution when I'm sleeping.

I just love the whole simplicity of this image Cindy. Who would have thought that a simple blue bucket could have such impact. Fav'd and thank you for sharing! Ann
Thank you, Cindy, for the heartiest guffaw I've had all day. It's been a minute, and I'm still chuckling.
For obvious reasons the terms "very cold and blustery" just don't compute here. Most days at the beach are pretty warm and sunny. I am reminded by your narrative of Pirate's Cove, the local nude beach. I haven't been there in years, but I always wore high heels and nothing else.
The focus is perfect and the splash of color offset to the right makes this shot more than simple. I agree with Cornelius. There's more going on here than what we're seeing in this frame.
Your rule of thirds choice surprises me. Personally I would have added more beach and less water. But that's why you're Cindy, and that's why I like your postings. I never know what to expect.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
So Fantastic composition.A Beautiful and Superb post,Cindy.Wonder what that kid who left the bucket to the beach said..Mom,why can't we go after my bucket now..not tomorrow, now.Think if someone stole it..
