The actual tank is ugly lime greens and oranges. There was a brick chimney that was slanted so much that if I straightened the shot any more, I lost part of the tank, so I cloned it out.

This is dedicated to Dan, who made me think about photographing "other" things. lol

That's quite the Lovely tank you've Rendered! It's always Nice to Experiment with Subject matter and Find new Ways to express the Craft! I like This angle... I think it Likes the Monochrome treatment, as Well!

The b&w really made this shot outstanding. The vignetting is very beautiful.

Very good use of your editing skills Cindy to bring out the textures in a not quite B&W image.

I have been thinking about doing stuff like that, too, but so far I haven't gotten past the thinking stage. LOL. This is quite interesting and quite good. They ought to have a "Stuff" Gallery here.

Oh WoW, Cindy! You know me well, this is something that would have caught my attention! While not too familiar with heating oil tanks in the south, I figured that's what it was by some of the news stories I've seen over the years. It looks like a real antique and worthy of the cool treatment you've put on it! When can I pick it up? It looks heavy. Thank you for the dedication, I have enjoyed this very much! Keep up the good work!
