I am not fond of closeups that are taken with my Canon 11. I don't have the control that I do with the Canon 7D, which incidently is on it's way back from Canon, unfixed because I think they charge too much. I am taking it elsewhere.

Anyway, this is the best I could capture of the dragonfly without getting right on top of him with the camera. I cropped minimally from top and bottom. I try to do my cropping in the viewfinder.

Cindy, I supposed by only your title that you would show us a pub visitor, lol. Prefer however to see such a scene.

Very good close-up, even by an Canon 11. Probably you won't agree with me, lol again.

Well done though.

Regards, Cornelius.

I think any who took a lot of photos in the old days and didn't develop their own film, learned to crop with the viewfinder COG. It is good. I always try to crop with the desktop constraints in mind.
After all that, I think this is a good capture with a camera you don't trust. lol

Cindy, I think you pulled this off very well, I suppose now you at least know what is wrong with the canon, and you have an idea of price, so hopefully you find someone who is fair in price.

The G11 looks like it does a bang up job to me. Excellent clarity, and color. I try to crop with the viewfinder too, but it doesn't always work out.

Cindy, this turned out spectacular and beautiful!!! I don't see a thing the matter with it. Focus is great, colors are perfect, and of course so is the comp!!!
