This is lovely capture of that beautiful swallowtail Cindy. Not sure why you would be having that problem with the color. I wonder if it's the monitor? In any case this is a good close up of one beautiful butterfly. Tigs♥ =^..^=
Looks good to me! Now the green background is a bit noisy on my monitor, but I'm having problems of my own. Try doing a fractal and figuring it out?!...lol...Really beautiful though Cindy and it really is perfect to me!
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
It might mean you need your monitor 'calibrated' Cindy .. See Here .. Members at our camera club sometimes have problems...the club has a calibrating tool called a 'Spyder' which we use on ours!
Colours look good on mine..however the background may need a tad toning down!...
---images on my monitor are a lot more color rich than they are when I upload them---
I'm dealing with the same problem, Cindy. In my comment on your previous image I've mentioned a probable reason: a loss of quality because of the conversion by Caedes from a high quality format (e.g. PNG) to the JPG format. I realize however very well that Caedes is forced to do so, because JPG images are much smaller in size (bytes) rather than, for instance, PNG images and therefore the cost for the server will be reduced.
As I can't judge the difference, must say that it's still a very good image.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
A great closeup of that beautiful swallowtail Cindy. The colors and detail look fantastic. Nicely done. I agree with Cornelius on the loss of quality when converting a image from Png to Jpg there's going to be some loss.
I think it's very good but I see the noise in the green background as Joanie mentioned. Since you have a new 'puter I suspect you do need to calibrate as Bob said - after we got our new one in early May I had to do that even though it was my same monitor - my color translates virtually identical when I upload now.
I like This!! ...although Your subject IS staring Me right in the Eye!! The clors look Great, and I don't consider the Background noise Distracting, or, Even a Blemish on your Work, here! The Focus of your Image is Sharp and Crystal clear, so, Nice work, Cindy!!
