The first person I thought of was Jim. He's gonna love this as much as I do! Beautiful color and feel to this Cindy! And what a dramatic sky!!! Outstanding girl!!!
"Silk Road" where they carried silk on donkey's backs in China :) Lovely shot of this beautiful bridge Cindy. I am always fascinated by these covered bridges - You don't see them at all here.
Just beautiful, Cindy. Covered Bridges rank right up there with old barns in my eyes. Excellent angle and colors and that sky adds so much drama to this shot. Excellent all the way around. Contest entry?I think it would be a great one.
Indiana has a Covered Bridge Festival that always starts on the 2nd Friday of October in Parke County, IN. Parke County has 31 covered bridges and is known as the Covered bridge capital of the world.
" In the 1800's covered bridges were practical due to the abundance of virgin timber and were covered to protect the floorboards. Another reason the bridges were covered is the fact that the horses did not like to cross the open bridges where they could see and hear the rushing water. The bridges were covered and, you will notice, the entrances look like that of a barn. The horses would enter willingly. Covered bridges were known as "kissing bridges" as courting couples were prone to stop and steal a kiss before leaving the bridge. " From the Parke County Indiana tourism bureau .
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
WOW! and double WOW!! This is absolutely gorgeous, Cindy. I love old covered bridges, and this one is a doozie. You have made it into a masterpiece of a shot.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
The bridge is in Bennington, Vermont, my home and I love our covered bridges. You make this one look as beautiful as it is. Thank you for sharing with us
