Great perspective, and a very clear shot. I've found it hard to take macro shots inside a building because (without sunlight) a flash just doesn't work well this closely. Nice job making up for that, and a good choice of subject matter. Keep up the macros! -Mikey

perhaps consider your lighting direction next time you work with macro. Yes, the shadow effect is nice, but the large white space in the frame takes away from the simplicity of the chess board. Great shot otherwise
