I think it looks pretty good. I don't think it would have looked better in color so i think black and white was a good choice. Unfortunitly its not very yellow.... Where did you take this one?
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
this is down by the river, probably 400 yards below where we riverboard, and 100 yards up from where we launch canoes/rafts. maybe i'll repost one that really captures the way those aspens really shine at the perfect time in the fall :P (dont try to understand that one) its an inside joke with myself, milo, and fotobob
Very nice. While I haven't seen the color, black-and-white seems to fit this image perfectly. I can't find any real complaints -- even the fog or mist in the background I truly enjoy. Good photo.
Do you think you could upload this in color as well (and drop me a message when/if you do)? I really like this picture, but I'm interested to see how it worked in color. It seems b&w really fits here; gives it a desolate feel. I'm just curious.
nice composition. i like the fact that you uploaded it in greyscale, it adds an extra effect to the photo.
but perhaps you could upload the color-version aswell like Lithfo already said.
there really was no colour version. when i desaturated it, the effect was merely to take away what little colour there actually was. I found the image was more lively when B&W, whereas the colour version was very drab
