this one is probably alot bleaker, i know the contrast is a little low, but i kept it that way to be true to how the scene really looked...alot of grey/white

Totally great. I hope you don't mind if I would use it and put a new spin on it. I love taking real shots and adding transparent cartoon gifs for my own use in outlook express stationery. I do it with my own things all the time.

Truely wonderful. I love snow shots but this one....with the mountains in it.....It is just stunning. It all just looks so vast. I don`t think it loks bleak at all. I love it. Thanks for sharing this.

wow, really nice, especially for those of us in the south who haven't seen any kind of a winter this year (hmph). I absolutely love the mistiness of the mountains in the background. The only caveat I have is with that huge signature in the border at the bottom, but to each his own. :)

This is one of your BEST photos Carl! Its so true to what it was in reality...and that makes is spectacular...it is a total winter look, you can almost sense the icy cold quiet and maybe even feel a bit of a chilling breeze. You have inspired me to write a poem...of this...this scene is fanatastic!!..verena

I like your original Bleak Outlook better, but this one is still good. I'm not diggin the widescreen effect, but the photo itself is neat. It looks like you were experiencing whiteout conditions.
