Here is a view from the bottom, a couple years ago. Finally Climbed the front side :). The perfect light was unintentional, we didnt mean to take 11 hours to climb the face. Obviously i didnt take this, unfortunately the dial got screwed when my buddy took the camera, so it was way underexposed, and this is the best quality i could wring out of it

I think you are a lot braver than I am. I feel the best part of the photo was exposed properly. Forget the background. How many times do you see someone hanging in thin air.

I have this thought that you're really standing on a big ledge <grin> nice shot. I love to climb too, at Independance Pass near Aspen. Where was this shot? The helmit and rope seem to be missing. RU really free climbing? Scary.

Photoshop does alot for ropes and helmets :)

However, there was one crazy Austrian that passed us, who was really climbing without ropes or a helmet.

Ok... please tell me you edited out the safety harnesses and you're not just free climbing! You're so brave! :) What an amazing shot... I admire your courage.

What amazing photography and scenery, not to mention I'd be scared out of my mind if it were me. It's a dynamite photo with wonderful lighting and beautiful background.

Okay, so I gave it a 9 before I read the description. You did an amazing job with whatever retouch you did. The color and contrast are beautiful. I love the contast of the sharp, colorful foreground against the soft, dark background. Just exquisite. The only point I knocked off was for the comp. I think it would have worked better for me had the foreground dominated the photo rather than giving more than a half share to the BG. It would seem impossible based on the position of the climber with the camera. But come on, can't he fly, darn it? Overall an excellent shot. Thanks for sharing. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

That is sweet! I'm intense on climbing, but that takes killer instinctive in itself. Suspension on an overhang, nice accomplishment. Plus the picture rocks of course, I love the contrast ;) Taking photography to 'extremes'...

Nice to meet the man behind the wonderful photos, even half naked, lol. And to tell you the truth I can't find anything wrong about the photo. You are well focused and exposed against the dark background. The sunlit part of the photo is in a nice contrast with the dark spaces on the right.
