IMHO this seems to be a wee bit soft in the centre. The contrast is great and I like the composition, it seems to display four separate layers of vegetation to explore. It’s really good to see a few people having a go at some B&W lately.
There are so many things to explore I would give up the white framing. It seems distracting to me. But the W&B photo is just marvelous. The contrast makes it so interesting.
Hey ana Nice Picture I like B&W a lot and this one has a lot of caracter. I would leave the side borders of so you get a wideshot or no borders at all.

I'm glad to see this image here. I knew it would be a favorite once people got to see it. Thanks for posting it. It has great "bones" with the exposure being correct to bring out the contrast between the tree-trunk and the bristles. This can be awfully hard to do correctly, and you got it spot-on. The lighting also allows you to accentuate the natural arch created byt the top of the foreground bough.
