This was taken from a boat on a bear watching trip near Prince George in British Columbia as we were rounding the tip of a bit of land that jutted out into the water.

What a breathtaking scene! The composition is perfect, the colors are rich and vibrant and you've created a feeling of depth. In fact, I feel like I'm there (I wish I was!) I see this is your first posting, well, it's magnificant! I'm so looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Very well executed view. Great composition and details. The angle of this is fantastic. All the trees in the foreground are beautifully shaped and the rocks are well exposed with the yellow moss. Those background trees are gorgeous in the mist. What a wonderful boat ride that must have been. I hope you got to see those bears. Super work and I'm sure there will be more :*>

Might as well start off with a 10. Beautiful color/saturation in the foreground and loved the mist/fog in the background.

I made it a point not to read the other comments on your post. If this sounds the same it is because it is true. This is a fantastic picture. It has trees rocks, mountains and the sea. Your composition was excelent. Either you planned well to set up the shot or you got extremly lucky. Either way you took one of the best scenery pictures I have seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing, Math King :o)

Hey Rose - Oops! I got my Princes mixed up - it's on the coast near Prince Rupert, not Prince George. I always get my royalty confused! Sorry.

Magnificant photo. The light mist behind the jutted land looks beautiful, as well as the light ripple and reflection in the water as well.

One of my all-time favorites here on Caedes, no matter how soft it is (in 2006) as compared to today's cameras. I'm just amazed I didn't leave a comment on it back then, having joined Caedes 7 months before it was posted. The color, composition, the low angle of the camera, and the action implied by the water eddying around the rocky point is outstanding. It also takes me back to childhood when my brothers and I would join friends of my dad and their sons and take trips to the lake region of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. We would rent these old, heavy wooden boats, about 20 feet in length, and travel from lake to connected lake, passing tiny islands fully covered in pines and low growth, except for the solid rock shores. One of my best memories of childhood and here I see it all over again. Terrific. I better fav it so I don't lose track of it again.
