This is the lighthouse is near my boyhood home on Point Prim, Prince Edward Island, Canada, so named by the French in the 1600s as being the first ('prime') point encountered as you navigate the Northumberland Strait toward Hillborough Bay and the present Provincial capital of Charlottetown. This round 60' light was the first on PEI, built of bricks in 1845 and later covered with wooden shingles for added protection (PEI buicks are soft!). It is now automated and is highly visible for many miles over about 300 degrees arc.
