A sad grasshopper and neglected windowsill make a lonely pair. (Ok, I don't know where that came from!) Critiques welcome.

Interesting. The lack of color variation in the grasshopper is made up for by the texture of the cracked paint. This picture wouldn't work without either subject, but like this it's pretty good. Nice!

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill

The grasshopper looks that big on this picture. Fantastic, clear shot. Your title made me a little bit sad. Grasshopper, you are invited to come.

This picture has excellent texture and great focus. The placement is good too.

The only thing I could possible see to work on is angle. The angle does leave the viewer without a good scale. I didn't even know it was a window sill. I thought it was a concrete side-walk by a painted wall. If you got the picture from a different angle, it might provide a little more meat to the picture, as well as providing some good scale.

But its a great picture, and well taken. Keep it up. Have a great day!

Creation sings His majesty. You cannot see a sunrise, and doubt His existence.

The monotone coloring and texture of the paint make for an interesting backdrop for this little critter.
