I personally don't agree with the way you cropped the rose, but other than that a very nice manipulation. ;ø)

Well, it certainly is a different take and presentation of a rose, but I like to encourage people to try new things, and who's to know who might like this as a desktop?

:)PJ

My new profile pic was drawn by Phinnbad who was pointed out to me by Owd Bob and was altered and used with Phinnbad's permission.

I really really like this one!!

The detail is awesome. Very sharp. I also love the echo effect and the way the darkness of the backmost rose contrasts with the brightness of the frontmost rose. It makes it look like the picture is almost glowing softly.
This one is very very very well done. Very artistic, without being abstract like some peoples work. It looks like it could be a greeting card, a calendar picture, or a hanging at a gallery. Very beautiful.

Honestly. You are coming along quite well. Keep it up! Someday, if you take some college photography courses, you could quite possibly make a living off of this. (Or it could at least be a fun and rewarding hobby!)

Caiden.

P.S. I hope to post another picture soon. But things have been busy, and I'm not sure if I have any that I can use right now. We'll see!
P.p.s. What kind of rose is this? It reminds me of an Angel Face rose that my mom used to have.

Wow, nice picture. It would be great if the echoes weren't squares but gradiented into the black. The original picture is magnificent though. Good job.

I like the presentation you've used here, it seems fresh and not been done before or at least I haven't seen it in a while! Well done, thanks for sharing!

The rose pic is beautiful and although this is not your typical presentation, it is effective and would make a nice DT.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Great work! I like the composition very much, you start well by having such high quality images to start with. This image impressed me in every way. Fine graphic art project. It works so well it would make a great advertisement.

I like it, its a fresh look at a worn-out subject, which is a very hard thing to pull off. Keep 'em coming

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. Nice work Chiquita. I like the color effect. The fading of the pink into purple tones is very nice. The layering of the images looks great & creates a very clean, beautiful and professional looking image. Kudos me lady........................Amaris
