Five low res photos in sepia. These are leaves stuck in snow by their stems. When the wind blows they are spun around, creating these lovely concentric circles in the snow.

It is an interesting idea, but the colors are unappealing and even in highest resolution the leaves are not prominent enough to explain the title. I don't get it.

I see what you wanted to do here and I think it's a great idea. Those leaves and the circles they've made are a great subject and a really good one for a series of images together. I don't think it works because the colour cast makes the snow look more like sand and because the arrangement of the photos, with the 'cross' in the centre, is uncomfortable and overwhelmingly dominant. You have an inventive eye and this is a worthwhile experiment.

I got this one in the voting booth. I spent more time looking at it than any other image I voted on. It took a long time to comprehend all the detail and scale of the images. I recognized it as snow right away but had a hard time getting the scale right. Once I recognized they were leaves I fully comprehended the piece and gave it a good score for its creativity. I would agree with Nigel, "You have an inventive eye and this is a worthwhile experiment." I say well done.

What a lovely observation in nature! I shall have to look for leaf "writers" this winter. I like your basic layout. In it's icon size, my first impression was of an Asian art influence, like Origami, in it's presentation. But at full size, the edges of each photograph are so sharp and distinct that they don't blend in and attach themselves to the background or to each other. If you could find a way to soften those edges, incorporate them in with the background instead of just plopping them on top of it, I think you would find that it would flow better and create better visual impact. :)

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive ... twice.

A very nice thought. The thought process involved in getting this piece of work is commendable.
