I took this shot from the edge of the property where we stayed in Tuscany. I know it's not perfect exposure-wise (helpful hints in that regard would be nice) but I rather liked it anyway. Thanks to all who view and comment.
The shot is gorgeous as Nathan says. I don't know if some kind of filter could have been useful here or not. I don't know much about them. If you hadn't said it was dusk, I might even have thought the sun was on it's way upward. Just lovely, Donna.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I think it's a nice shot. I like it how it is. Maybe you could have taken two of the exact same shot. The first one exposed for the land, and the second one exposed for the sky. Then, in photoshop, you composite the too.
I'm not a professional photographer but I enjoy sharing my work with everyone and viewing other peoples work.

Donna I like randy's comment and i will agree with him. I might be a little overexposed in the sky but it works well here I think. Really a 3d like image and so rich and dramatic. ><

I really like this too but the sky is overexposed, needs the glare cut and maybe sharpened a little but regardles this is Tuscany and it's beautiful :o)
There are two "must have" filters every D-SLR photographer should have in their arsenal (actually, there are more but we will settle for two right now). You need to carry a graduated ND filter which would have helped with this bright sky and dark foreground and a circular polarizer for every lens you own. This is a pretty capture. I like it. Now, go order those filters.

In case HDR seems too complicated I would suggest some ND filters to handle with the bright sky in such situations. Still your photo is a pleasure to watch. Tuscany is a wonderful place to get some moody and artistic landscape photos. Would like to go there one day.
Maybe not perfect. There are photographers who get Millions of $$$$$$$ for their work and maybe one or two would have made it better. But ... I wish I could do it that way.
