There's a great enoteca (wine tasting shop) in Montepulciano, Italy, that has an underground cellar and wine museum that the public can walk through. Best thing about it -- it's nice and cool under there. :) Thanks to all who view and comment.

You mean it was HOT in Italy? lol Yes, I think I would stay down there too. I learned a new word from you today, enoteca. You did a wonderful job on the lighting and the rich color and the clarity of the wood and bricks. I bet that town name means 'beautiful mountain'? Just trying to remember my Latin. lol

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

A slight paradox for my brain - I KNOW it is cool down there but the picture has such lovely warmth. The little green whatsits (? Can't think of the word) make a lovely glowing contrast atop the barrels.

Since i am no wine fan, i just imagine that these old wooden ... are for keeping Port !
Between wine and beer, Port is the solution to enjoy both worlds :-)
Taste is sweet, and usualy you eat something salt to keep your tasting on edge.
But it must have been a good place to hide from the Italian hot sun..
