I love being in a wooded valley early in the morning. Light adopts a mysterious behavior where it seems to select the things that interest it, ignoring all else. For that first few moments as the sun peeks over the mountain, the warm beams seem to give the turning leaves a goodbye embrace before turning their attention to the rest of the venue.

Some of the best lighting is in the early morning Don...and changes very rapidily. The Sun is so low in sky that it's light has to travel farther in atmospere than when it is is mid-day. Great shot here...it is mysterious...nice composition...gerry

Hello Don....Indeed,this is very magical....I always photograph scenes very early in the morning or late in the afternoon....the light is so much softer...Well done on this one....All the best...Mick.
