I shot this pine blossum last spring and found it while cleaning up the old hard drive. Since it is foofy day....
Pinus contorta is the scientific name for the common Lodgepole Pine, also known as Tamarack Pine.

What strikes me is how much this reminds me of a cactus! lol Such a pretty flower. Nice colors in the shot and I have never seen the likes of such a fine plant.
