The skin texture is wonderful. A touch too much contrast for me, the black is just a little too deep at the bottom, but I like the concept and the picture. The light patch top right just has to be there to give context to the elephants head. Why not post in Animals? It is a very good animal shot, you have captured the essence of the elephant rather well.

Hi Chris. thanks for the comment. I have changed it to animals now, wasn't sure weather to put it in animals or textures, i guess it does suit animals better. thanks

this is absolutely outstanding. i love the textures, and your tight composition is so perfect. i personally love the contrast, i think it is just right to make all the wrinkles stand out even more. excellent work.
