This is the image I made Birds of a Feather from. This old boy was a good 3 ft. long from head to tip of tail. The white around his face is skin and was very soft to the touch. I got to hand feed him pumpkin seeds and honey nut cherrios. He talks and, even though his wings haven't been clipped, he doesn't fly.

What a stunning capture Bill. He is magnficiant isn't he. I've had one sit on my shoulder a few years back and it was an awesome feeling. Love the colors, clarity and his inquisitive look. Well done and so glad you shared him.

A bird that could and doesn't, I wish I could and can't. Hell of a note there Bill, great shot of the ol' boy and he probably doesn't fly because he has no predators around and his food is brought to him. Got it made I'd say.LOL

Thank you for posting this Bill. I am so glad to see him in one piece! A most handsome fellow he is. I love his colors, and you have captured him so well, I can see the iridescent sheen on his feathers. He must have liked you, to allow you to feed and touch him. When you talk about him in the past tense, do you mean that he is no longer alive? :)

Excellent close-up Bill of this beautiful bird. His eyes are just a beautiful shade of gray. You were lucky he let you feed him, sometimes they can be tempermental.

;) Nice closeup. Jill didn't fly either because there wasn't enough room. I used to take her to a gym at a school for a workout. Glad to see another Blue&Gold!
