I know... I know... the Alamo as a place of worship? Yes. It was a Spanish Mission before it was the site of the most famous battle in Texas history. And to many of us Texans, we still worship the memories of the fallen Alamo heroes.

It is an interesting picture. You could work on a few things. The angle seems a little strange, and the lighting isn't so good. Darkness is cool and all that, but the picture just lacks any contrast or feel to it. I wouldn't have known it was something of interest unless you had said so. It just looks like an old building in the darkness. The focus is great, and the clarity is really goog, but next time, (Just a suggestion) you migt want to try getting it from a different angle, and maybe wait until a cloudy day, or sunset, and try getting it then. Try some things to spice up your shot. Get it looking past or through the limbs of some trees or cacti, get the sun just behind the arch at the top so it's rays pierce its frame. I'm not saying this is what you have to do, just trying to help with some ideas.

Good picture though. Keep it up!

Hmmmm, it's always interesting to see what appeals to different people. I DO like this one...and think it works very well...just as it is...and the only thing I maybe would change at all...would be just a very slight straightening on the horizontal. I think it's nicely done! Wouldn't do a single other thing to change this. ANYBODY can get the alamo in bright light...which is why THIS shot is unique.

A very good title to this fine capture. I think of all that happened at the Alamo, and all the restless spirits within. There is such a stillness to this clear image. On the desktop it looks dark and mysterious. The dark golden appearance, and the shadows work well. I think you did a great job showing the Alamo in silence Douglass. Thanks :*>

I like the drama you gave this photo by taking it at darktime. I also would suggest to make sure that your straighten the image a bit. Its a wonderful historical picture and you want to be sure that as much as possible things give it lots of dignity. Very nice other than that....its good to see that famous place....verena
