Butterfly Ignoring the Rule of Thirds

Maybe this is one too many butterfly photos, maybe I'm neglecting the rule of thirds too often, but I like it central somehow. The tailend of the wings is a little out of focus yes, the wind was blowing the flower and it was wobbling back and forth all the time so it was hard to get it spot on. Not much editing: +10 contrast in graphic converter and a little scaling down <3kpixels wide but that's it. EOS 450D with 18-55 lens

Good dof on this. Think the subject should be a bit larger as it is a bit overpowered by the b/g imo. Nicely done for the conditions.

Very pretty. Nice dof. I would have gone for a little different composition and maybe a tighter crop, but I see in your description that you are choosing to ignore the rule of thirds. And cropping would take away some of the nice background. It is nice to see the technical stuff too - Camera, lens, and post work description. Thanks for that. it's really helpful.
