The bird attracted me too. I do love the subtle, quiet color tones, and the composition, the way my eye leads me down the beach, right into the picture and up to the beach house -- where, I trust, an armchair and some sparkling cider are waiting (!)

Took a long time for you to stick you toe in the water, but it was worth the wait..this is so beautiful..I love the pink highlights and the water and sand are perfect.. the whole upload pops..should do very well in the voting booth...:)PJ

No one here is unkind. This is a beautiful first effort. I love the whiteness of everything. It was a wonderful setting and you have captured a great image of a very pretty scene. It's a very peaceful image and I love the lines of the clouds and the wavy lines of the waves on the sand.
