While out for a walk I encountered this letter box and felt I'd love to have one just like it but, in the absence of a nearby retailer, I settled for a photo. I think that, since we have to receive bills in the mail, at least the mail box should compensate by looking like this. :-)

Cool box! It has a great design and nice colors :)
Maybe next time try crouching down more so we get a full on view instead of a slight arial perspective :)

This is a very nice mailbox. The light contrast is very strong and takes a bit away from the overall composition. Offsetting the mail box one way or the other might also give a broader sense of the total setting and create perspective.

I like this mailbox too. I think the inclusion of the green and white foliage below is a nice idea, but does result in the perspective oddity others have mentioned. The somewhat harsh lighting could be helped by lightening the shadows in your image editing program.

Caedes just invited me to comment on my own picture. Interesting. Let me say the timing, circumstances and surroundings imposed their limitations. I agree with every suggestion above and, although I cannot implement them this time, I'll be sure to do so next time. My thanks to those commenting.

'Let's eat Grandma!' or, 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives...

Love that red letter box Edwin. Actually we have that same one but in black on our front porch/deck. Wonderful image with lovely colours, lighting and shadows.
