This photo was taken during a stop on my drive home to Montreal from Florida. I was in the Adirondack Mountains which re-introduced me to snow. I stopped to retrieve and put on my winter coat again. Despite a preference for white sands over white snow I do enjoy mountains, which is not Florida's strong suit. I thought about sitting at that picnic table for a while to enjoy the surroundings but opted for this photo instead.

This is a well titled posting, Ed. I was hoping for a few more Florida shots, but I can see that you couldn't wait to get back to the snow. I like the composition and the colors although I probably would have cloned out the guard rail and reflectors in the background.

That's really rough lighting to contend with, Ed. If you get all the detail and colour in the sky and the snow, everything else goes black. Couple layers, or the hdr plugin to recover the full range.
I like the starkness of the snow without the detail. It allows the table to be principle detail supplier. Some blue gradient for the sky should tone it just right.
