This is the Sunlife Building in Montreal, an architectural behemoth whose appearance I happen to like notwithstanding. Built in 1914 it was given the privilege of storing, or more accurately hiding, in a sub-sub-basement the crown jewels of Great Britain during World War II. Behind it stands the more modern cruciform building, Place Ville Marie by the architect I. M. Pei. My home town.

I prefer the old to the new. The Sunlife Building has more character and in my opinion sheer beauty. Nice capture, good lighting , detail and information.

I think ShiftN might have helped on this shot, Ed. The wide angle makes the verticals on the right lean to the left. The resulting image would look like this. I would have probably hit the sharpen edges command once and done a click on contrast. That sky shows the noise too. It's an amazing sight and very impressive. Nice work on a bright day.
