great shot gregg. the lighting was just fine. is it a male in molt or a female. as a matter of fact i think the light enhances the photo. it has that 'csi miami' look. (side lighting).

The low light works well with our beautiful female Cardinal Gregg. You captured her with her good side to the camera :))

Lighting seems fine to me ... so does this capture as if that's any news. Mike (photog024) above makes a good point ... I've seen males in molt that give the appearance of being a female.
