great title huh? still learning the new canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. I will do better in time. "rahto" gave me some good tips on Butterfly macros I will use in the future.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
Gosh Gregg this has got to be about the most perfect shot. That would mean its going to mhy favs and it will get a 10 from me in the VB if i get it. Wow!
Not a Titmouse, but not far from that quality. Really good pic.
I'd give you a 10 also but then you'd have nothing to shoot for, so here's a 9. I bet tomorrow you make me give you a 10. Then I'll have to start a Butterfly Folder.
Just kidding, I've already started one.
You could have called it the Backlit Butterfly. The wings look translucent. I don't see what is wrong with this shot. Rahto is the one to ask though, you are right.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Wow this is a great shot! I really like how the light illuminates the wings! It looks to me like you have your macro lens down pat, but I agree with Cindy, it certainly can't hurt getting advice from Rahto. Diane
Gorgeous butterfly Gregg! The illumination of the wings is awesome, I find the whole image enchanting. You seem to be doing fine in the macro department, but tips are always useful. Well done!

Great DOF, color and clarity. Checking the dictionary and thesaurus, you could title this 'diurnal insect of the Order Lepidoptera on member of the kingdom Plantae'.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*
