Got him in better light today. He seems to be making a home for himself on my deck.

Superb! The lighting conditions were just right; nicely balanced and framed; perfectly focused; and the soft, out-of-focus background causes this finely-feathered friend to stand-out with an almost 3-dimensional effect.

Nice one. Just remember they can be a bit mean spirited if they think you are invading their territory (like your own house). Thanks for sharing.

Has he treated you to a song and dance routine yet? I know I told you this before, but I really miss these birdies. We do have them in NE but they are not very plentiful. I'm going to go see if I can find a clip of their song. :) hold my place here, will ya? Okay. This is a Northern Mockingbird, not sure if that's what you're dealing with in MO. SONG

Please excuse my dear mentally ill friend Kostas. He's a confused little man, has identity issues, is terrified of planes & other flying objects, still wear diapers & only has one friend. So please be patient with him...

He looks very serious and dignified if you can say that about a bird. The lighting is perfect!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

What an amazing picture. You really should work for Audobon Society or someone who uses bird pictures. I've never seen ANY that beat yours.

I'm very far behind in my comments due to some recent family issues so please forgive this generic comment. I have viewed this image and found it to be very good. I didn't want to pass it by with out mentioning it's beauty. Thank you for sharing it with us. You have created a very beautiful image and I envy your talent. I hope to view more of your work and give a more personal comment in the near future. Your images are awsome. Noisey little fellow.
