I forgot to get the name of this nice looking Owl, I am sure Hottrockin will know since he has been to the World bird sanctuary many times where I took this photo. More to come....
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

It's a blue beaked, swivel headed empty barn owl. Great post. First the eagle and now the owl. I'm starting to feel Proud and Wise. Another excellent portrait. You're really good and the birds are getting much larger. Keep it up Gregg.
you were at the World Bird Sanctuary and didn't call me? I am sad :(
Seriously, great place for awesome captures like this one. I love owls and this one is no exception. we would have met you out there. Not far from us at all!
To my favorites this goes and many thanks for sharing this with me Gregg ;=)
It's called a "Handsome Dude"! lol! he is quite beautiful. These birds seem to show no marks on their beaks from being in captivity! Love the intent stare - super capture Greg!

Great close up of this guy Gregg. Those white dots reflected in his eye are a little distracting ... removing them might be a good idea. Just a thought. Then again ... WHO ... I repeat ... WHO ... am I to argue with the "birdmeister" ? :)
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE

I've heard this type of owl many times in the distance Gregg but have never been lucky enough to see one. Wow- it is beautiful! Great capture with such fine detail.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

A wonderful capture of one of nature's most incredible creations. This is probably a Milky Eagle Owl. Their sight, hearing, and tremendous strength make them an almost perfect predator. Thank you very much for sharing.
