I like the upside down Nuthatches. This is a very clear capture. I wish I was as good with my camera. What type of lens did you have for it?

i have a couple of these guys around my yard. i consider them as a bad luck bird..(probably because they never stay still long enough to get good shots)

Excellent shot. It's very sharp and the colors are great. That 40D is a great camera. I opted for the XTI instead due to cost factors and I'm very happy with it. I'm thinking of investing in the newer Sigma 120-400mm lens to get better bird closeups than I get with my Tamron 70-300mm.

Why did you move from a Canon 40D to a Nikon D40?

What a precious photo! The colours of that birdie are so pretty. And the pose you got him in, so very cute. Must be fun to find a bird like this and get such a grand photo!! Congrats to you on this..it's really awesome. (I had a Canon forever, then got a Nikon, and always regretted it, then I got my Canon Rebel, its fantastic) Verena
