Trying to do lightning photos again. Took this last night, parked near a field, set up chair and tripod and snapped away. I ordered a shutter release cable to make these better.

It seems everything i've heard, just might be true. And you know me (Well you think you do).
Love the layers of color and details. Especially the cloud. Saved to admire longer. I saw a similar lightening show last Thursday pm with cloud like this far in northwest skies with stars, moon and lightening bugs in the rest. Saved.

What an amazing view! And the colour brought out in the sky is awesome. It's always a real trick to be ready to take a lightening photo. Kinda scary to be standing with a tripod to hold up the camera etc. Great photo tho. Verena

Couldn't get much better than this. I'd nominate it for the art council, but looks like someone else must have already. An absolutely gorgeous display of God's power and control. Keep it up! And congrats on making the home page display with this!

This is amazingly clear. I guess because of the tripod, shutter cable and of course your camera. How long did you expose on this one?
