This is a shot of the Newport bridge from the Newport side on a beautiful, breezy and slightly chilly day; the first day of Fall 2010. I'm always open for suggestions, so feel free to add constructive criticism. Thanks.
It's a good picture, not exceptional though. The boat in the front is maybe a little bit too dominating in my opinion. Maybe a broader frame? Not by much, but just to get a little more in the picture. If you have the opportunity, I would love to see this during sunset/sunrise. Just to get some more color in there. You do capture the cold quite nicely, but still I feel that it's maybe a little boring (read: peacefull).
Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick.

It IS a bit busy and yes, maybe the foreground boat(s) could be excluded to make a better shot.Maybe a little lower and not as much sky? I'm not an expert - just saying what I see - I do love the idea, though, of a photo of the boats together and the green bridge makes a nice surprise in the picture.
I like the colors in this shot. The green provided by the bridge adds a nice touch to the blue water and sky. The photo seems a bit cluttered in the foreground, but a nice shot nonetheless.
