The picture was taken in Poland, on the Podlasie floodplains. The place is beautifully located on the Narew river, with a spectacular view opening to the free water area, woods and marshes, inhabited by many rare species of birds and animals. Unfortunately I cannot tell you what the castle is used for. Overwise it wolud loose all its mystery and charm.
Not to overlook the obvious ... however, a number of things in this image caught my curiosity.
The formations on the bank, for one ... the stone walls ... and the roof.
Those formations might make for an interesting foreground and perspective onto the castle. There appears to be a geometric pattern of sorts and I like the 'order' against the antiquity of the castle, sort of a juxtaposition.
The walls ... oh, I would love to see a detail of them. Even combined with a shot of the roof, I feel would make for an interesting study in contrast of colour and texture.
A very nice image, and I like the 'possibilities' suggested by it.
Cheers.........
