...Suddenly the gorge opened into a natural square and my eyes noticed Petra's most famous monument, The Treasury (El-Khazneh), its carved facade glowed in the dazzling sun.

What a fascinating discovery and so striking the enormity of this ancient place carved into the rock...the people and horse and carriage add a lot of character and interest to the scene and while part of me wishes to see a larger view, I suspect this narrow version adds to its' impact and mystery...great capture.:Pat.

Fabulous. i love the orange colour of the rock. the photo is stuffed full of interesting things. i like the way you got that person in the bottom left, to add some foreground details. the sand/ground, must have been dazzlingly bright. 10/10 favourites.

It's incredible to think that this was carved out of bare rock. There is an interesting story behind this place as well.

Wow, that's a beauty. I like it because you included the people (inversely probably couldn't be done anyway). Top score. Keep on a good work. :o)

wow, its just fasccinating, u really got a good shot, I like the orange color is like falling over the image, and the people walking, the man just standing over that rock, make it great, this image goes directly to "discovery channel". Congrats!! :)
