Yes, I guess we can! Do bugs really mate like that? I had no idea. haha I'd feel like I'm imposing, but I'm glad you did because they are just gorgeous with those shiny colors. Never seen anything like it! Great post.
More baby beetles on the way soon !
Those colors are just incredible, and set against the pink flower, they just stand out all the more, incredible good shot again.
Beautiful clarity and color here Ewa but interupting their love nest...my my. Oh well, maybe one less new one :) Terrific job here and good post. Thanks for sharing it.

Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

Sad to say that you have invaded the personnel life of those bugs and thats not at all acceptable lol. But I must say that you have done a very well job of it.
Excellent capture of a moment in time in the life of a bug Ewa!!! These are the Japanese Beetles, correct? No wonder I have such a time with them infesting my gorgeous roses and my hibiscus bushes. With this type of activity, looks like next year will be even worse :). Job well done :~)
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
This is one of those shots that you normally only see on Wildlife programs. I would have the patience to catch this kind of shot so all credit to you and your VERY STEADY HAND. What a clear smoothly taken shot. Thanks for sharing
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

As akajohncastle said, you surely have a pretty steady hand... :)
Although this is an excellent macro, it's obvious here why people do not do macros so much. It is necessary to take at least three shots with different focus (back, middle, front) and to process them using MATLAB or other math friedly software to get a sharp and crisp result with no blurred areas. Unfortunately this usually takes some time even if we use a fast computer. Also, who has MATLAB-like software at hand, which is IMHO far from cheap... Yes, I know there are similar Open Source programs, but these sometimes lack some functions we'd like to have to achieve our goal. There are also other ways to get an outstanding picture from a number of a blurred ones, but the above technique is far simpler...
Absolutely magnificent photgraphy. This is a uniquely well taken and composed shot. The depth of field is perfect and shallow making your photo a special one!
Bonking Beetles eh! ;o) Great shot capturing the metalic sheen of their wing cases perfectly. As they rarely keep still for long, catching them while they are 'occupied' is the best way of getting a good shot - if you can avoid the blushes :o)
