How lovely it is when unexpected blessings come into my life to cheer me up and put a smile into my heart. Help me to pass them on, dear Lord. Fay Angus
This is a wonderful shot, though i would hate to be walking that lane at night, i would think it would take a different shape then, or is that my imagination working over time? You have got a great and conforting way with the camera giving us a shot that is both pleasing to the eye, and restful for a desktop. If I was to make any suggestion, for a desktop, I would have put a border on it, nothing too over powering as you don't want to detract from the wonderful picture, but something that will show the icons up.
Because of the way the dark trees naturally frame this in the foreground, I have to disagree with Andy on his assessment about needing a frame. I think that that element suffices for a pleasing matte. But that's IMHO :) The accompanying poem describes this very well, and it was a good choice. There are a couple of reasons why I like this and think it would make a great desktop and it includes how I'm feeling like I'm walking out of a very dark place on this ever lightening path and as I progress I begin to see more and more sunlight coming through and even more up ahead as the path winds gently to the left and on to where I might want to sit and bask in that soft sunspot and reflect on the darkness I've just left. I guess your poem quotation took my mind on a journey, and what a pleasant setting to accompany me was your presentation. I love this, and it's in my faves, if I can ever find it....must be a million of them by now..lol..there are so many good artists on here, and you're one of 'em :)PJ

I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

It's hopeful because it's like the light at the end of the tunnel. There is such contrast between your lightest lights and your darkest darks and there are many greens but the light green at the back right is what draws my attention and that I think is where it is supposed to go. Lovely composition.
it reminds me of one of the scenes from The Lord of the Rings, which is very good cause I love it. I mean I love both, Tolkien's work and yours as well:)
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry D. Thoreau
What a lovely poem Ewa. The way the trees seem to fold into the pathway is really beautiful here.I also like how the sun is shining in certain areas making it look as though it is lighting the way. Very pretty Ewa.
Oh wow Ewa.. this is superb... love the shot, beautiful capture of light and colour, it has and air of mystery to it... love it.. the verse is perfect for it too...
Tomorrow might never be | When you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything - Doc Brown | My Gallery My apologies about the delay in commenting, but I will get to all of them eventually!
Naturally framed and carefully composed image which creates good balance. Some times I wonder if its the sign of light among the ages of darkness.
By the way my sincere apologies for not showing up on the last 15 days since I had a back injury while trekking in a jungle area. Glad to say that I have partially recovered now and able to walk again after few days in hospital.
The warmth of the light at the end of the natural 'arch' of canopied tree limbs ... is enough for me.
I will make more room in my luggage by discarding my sweaters ... so that I can bring home more visual memories of this beautiful and magical path. :o)
Nice to 'see' you and your work again. :o))
And as always ... thank you for reporting to us the beauty that surrounds you.
