WOW!!! a stunning coastline shot Ewa - the cliffsides are incredibly beautiful as is the azure sea. It reminds me very much of Gozo and Malta and the Blue Lagoon which I visited about three years ago.

Wow indeed. What a beautiful coastline. The water looks like it's crystal clear also. A great place to spend the day and a very fine photograph.

Oh, I had to save this one. I know I'm late to it, but I also had it in the voting booth and loved it there as well!!

I guess what you see is what you get meaning those boatsmen are aware that all the rock is visible and there is no fear of one scraping the boat bottoms or they wouldn't be coming in so close to the shoreline. The cliffs are amazing in character and your shot is quite lovely, especially the crispness of the water. You've been doing a little traveling I see.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I'm happy to join your idea about the "What is wrong?" forum :-)
I know your actual feeling: full of good comments and a c-index = 57:100...
This is frustrating. However, your image is technically excellent (as always!) and shows a great place for holydays.
But we must also be critic: maybe the green area at right is a little to present. You should have gone a little to the left (if possible!) to increase the effect of deepness. Do you see what I mean?
Thanks in any case to share it with us :-)

The picture is vey neat, the scene is great and the changing blue is wonderful. As for the C-index I guess the problem is not in the shot by itself, but maybe the critics are more prone to give high scores to pictures with a more "artistic" angle, like more saturated colors, even if the orinal photo is much less beautiful than this one ( this only an opinion). Neverthless thanks for this beautiful anti-stress picture.

(.......So, who would be so kind and give me a critical line or two on one of my recent photos?........)

@
Well Ewa, It's not simple, because IMHO this is a very nice
photo, and a 58 C-index is too low!
The only thing is, I also like more saturated colors, but that is personal, and non critical
It is hard to say, what makes a photo very special?, so every body likes it, by giving it a high remark in the VB
Do you know the answer?
Kind regards!
John

MY PHOTOGRAFIC VISION... I am not an artist, I only let you see with my eyes...!

A critical line or two from me, maybe a little bit more: I think that the image may have benefited from a little bit of colour work, to make the sky look a tad bit brighter. The colours work well when the image is viewed in small however, full screen, the image seems slightly dull. Also if the image was taken from lower down but tilted slightly more upwards then there would be a slight bit more sky and less of the green towards the right. A nice way to cut it out and still get in the boats and sea. This is only my opinion but doing this the image would fit more with the rule of thirds and the more negative space (sky) would give the photo a more relaxed feeling, as the image feels quite claustrophobic. Anyways, hope that helped! I might have sounded quite mean, I love the photo! Just trying to help! Would appreciate comments on some of mine! Thanks! Ste :¬)
