Isn't this what kids my age do? Stand around a burning barrel and smoke? Well, I'll pass on the smokes and just take photos :-) I purposely shot this on a low shutter speed to get a softer and more calm look with the flames. I'm not sure I'm sold on it. Please tell me what you think.

Yep. I guess that's what we meddlin' kids do. Great sense of motion and color.

Nice indeed but what about that sad face found in the flames.

Flames? That looks like silk. Wonderfully surreal.

Must be one "hot" place to hang out at ;-)

(sorry :P)

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

It was getting so hot in here I had to use an old Windex bottle filled with water to put the flames out. Now the picture is just smoke and ashes. LOL. Ellie, I think your shot is a very artistic one. I like the frame, as well as the photo. Nice work.

I think using a slower shutter speed worked perfectly. The fire is nice and very soft looking. Great shot!

Hey Ellie,
I'll pass on the smokes too, I'd rather have a drink (or two (~8), I'll even hold your's so you can concentrate on taking these gorgeous looking images, 8~)
Beautifully done,

Thanks for sharing
Best♥regards

Ellie, at first I thought this was a very creative shot, with fabulous results. It still is, only upon reading the comment from Michel above, I looked again and instantly saw the sad face in this picture. If it's the same thing we are looking at then this pic is really something special!!! I hope this picture gets more comments because the more I look at it the more I can see it, and wonder - can anyone else?????

Always a fan of long exposure fire shots. It seems to be a study in texture....while it doesn't have the sharpness that most texture photos have, it reveals rather the softness of fire. Good job.

I like the softer look to the flames and the burning edges add to the effect! Great Job.
