lately i've seen so many macros of flowers that i thought i had enough with them. not that i find macro photos of flowers boring, but most of them are because they just focus on the center of the flower and that's it :) well, this is an exception - a great detail of a flower with great composition and great colors. the black frame was a smart choice because of the contrast and the dew drops just make the picture perfect. congrats for the shot and thx for sharing!
I actually prefer this extremely shallow DOF, to politely disagree with Randy's (and John's) comments above, but I'll agree that this is indeed dainty and delicate. The frame colors compliment this well, but I think I'd prefer a thinner one instead.
